On the Feuerkogel high plateau there are non-stop options for snowshoe hikes. Kilometres of pristine splendour and an experienced mountain guide make it possible for you to leave the daily grind behind, and be completely worry-free.
After relatively easy snow-shoe hiking on the flat, going uphill and downhill can become a challenge, and the Feuerkogel offers the right terrain for every ability level.

Discover on the specially signposted (yellow snowshoe signs on red poles, approx. 30 m apart) and groomed snowshoe trails the unique winter landscape of the Feuerkogel high plateau.
TRAIL 1: HELMESKOGEL (1633 m)
The easy to moderately difficult snow-shoe trail on the Sattelalm is very well signposted and groomed and takes you to the Helmeskogel.

- Duration: approx. 1.5 to 2 hours, 50 high meters
TRAIL 2: ALBERFELDKOGEL (1709 m)
The moderately difficult snow-shoe trail takes you along the marked and groomed snowshoe trail to Europe Cross on the Alberfeldkogel.
- Difficulty: MODERATE
- Duration: approx. 2 to 2.5 hours, 200 high meters
TRAIL 3: HINTERES EDELTAL
The moderately difficult snow-shoe trail takes you along the marked and groomed trail through the 'hintere Edeltal' via the west side of 'Helmeskogel' back to the 'Sattelalm'.

- Duration: approx. 2.5 hours, 150 high meters
TIP: Snowshoe circular trail
Total duration = appox. 4 to 4.5 hours

The snowshoe tour on trail 3 'Hinteres Edeltal' can be combined with trail 1 'Helmeskogel' and trail 2 'Albersfeldkogel'.
TRAIL 4: HOCHSCHNEID
The intermediate to difficult snow-shoe trail takes you along the marked and groomed trail to the 'hintere Edeltal'. From this point is the trail no longer prepared and leads further direction Riederhütte, Totengrabenkopf and around the Hochschneid back towards 'hinteres Edeltal'.
- Difficulty: MODERATE to ADVANCED (depending on snow conditions)
- Duration: approx. 3 hours (depending on snow conditions), 200 high meters
TRAIL 5: RIEDERHÜTTE
The intermediate to difficult snow-shoe trail takes you along trail 4 over the 'hinteres Edeltal' until Totengrabengupf, towards Höllkogelgrube to Riederhütte. This trail is not prepared. WARNING: Riederhütte ist not always open. More infos - at Feuerkogelhaus.

- Duration: approx. 4 hours (there and back, depending on snow conditions), 205 high meters
TRIAL SNOWSHOE TRAIL FOR BEGINNERS
Easy circular hike on the variant 'Edeltal' (via 'Ju Shuh' hut) for all beginners of the trend sport snowshoe hiking or just to get a taste and try it.
